Guidelines
Make
Good Choices At All Times
General Guidelines:
These guidelines apply
¨
Rough play, such as wrestling, pushing, tackling, tripping is not
allowed.
¨
Appropriate language only
¨
Students can walk on the path at both recess times
¨
Pathways to subdivisions are off limits
¨
Stay away from fence/dogs in yard
¨
Koosh balls and super balls aren’t allowed on the playground
¨
Recorders, electronic games, playing cards, trading cards, etc…
aren’t allowed on the playground.
¨
Students need to get permission from a recess supervisor if they
want to enter the building.
¨
If a student needs to go to the office because he/she is ill or
injured he/she should walk to the office by himself/herself. If the
student is seriously injured or ill, a recess supervisor should walk the
student to the office.
Blacktop
¨
Room 7 is the limit on the blacktop, north of the door. Students
aren’t allowed to play on the blacktop by Rooms 4, 5 and 6.
¨
The blacktop area is for games like jump rope, 4-square, hopscotch
and basketball.
¨
Soccer, kickball, baseball are to be played on the assigned fields.
Football
¨
Touch football only
¨
Touching should be below the neck
¨
Play on the designated fields
Soccer

Kick only the ball
¨
Play on the designated fields
¨
Keep your hands to yourself
Kickball and Softball
¨
Play on the baseball diamond
¨
Use equipment safely
Slide
¨
Climb up the ladder
¨
Slide down the slide on your bottom, sitting up, one person at a
time
Climbers
¨
Move carefully using your hands and feet
¨
Leave enough space for other people
¨
Walk
¨
Do not stand or sit on top of climbers
Swings
¨
Only one person at a time on a swing
¨
Sit on the swing at all times
¨
Stop swing to get off
¨
Swing straight
¨
Students shouldn’t push each other on the swings
