the Hoben Council
All Hoben parents are members of the Hoben
Council. This volunteer group provides leadership through
financial and physical support to students, staff and administration.
The Hoben Council provides volunteer for various school
and district activities such as Picture Person, School Council, Safety
Committee, Food Services Committee, the School Improvement Team and the School
Interviewing Team. They provide a vehicle for community spirit by sponsoring
the Hoben Fun Fair, Market day Food Co-op, bake sales, school spirit and clothing sales.
The Hoben Council sponsors various fund raisers during
the
year to accumulate funds for dispersal to classroom teachers for:
*classroom book and supplies
*recess equipment
*field trip buses
*enrichment assemblies
*guest speakers
*technology hardware and software
The Hoben Council also promotes and financially
supports school events such as "March Is Reading Month."
