DNA From the Beginning is a primer of DNA and the basis of heredity. This site is organized around key concepts. Sections include: Classical Genetics, Molecules of Genetics, and Genetic Organization and Control. Under the section Classical Genetics for example, topics include how children resemble their parents; genes come in pairs; genes don't blend; to name a few. Need Flash Player and Real Player Plug-ins to take full advantage of this site.

The Long Foreground: Human Prehistory. Provides an overview of ancestor-descendant relationships and a timeline of fossil hominids and modern humans. Includes images. Although designed for an introductory college course, much of the information could be used in the middle school.
