On Saturday
September 10th 2005, teachers, Jim O'Conner, Mike Duff, and Steve Seidel, from the Plymouth-Canton
Educational Park took to the streets of Detroit with their
racer. Only this wasn't a normal
drag racer; this machine
was powered by humans. The team of teachers from the Park built a
handmade, human powered drag racer
which competed in The Red Bull Dragsterday on Woodward Ave. in
Detroit, Michigan. During the event the
team performed well in their heat and ended up winning the people's choice award for the best looking racer
and the crowd favorite.
