Order
of Presentation Convener opens the IEPT meeting.
Introductions are made. Section I -
All participants sign in. Identifying information about the student is reviewed Section II
- The committee reviews the Present Level of Performance and indicates what
factors have been considered. At this point, the results of evaluations are
shared. Section III
- The committee reviews the eligibility for special education programs
and determines the specific impairment. Section IV
- The committee collaborates in developing the educational program goals
and objectives. Section V – The
committee considers Least Restriction Environment (LRE) considerations such as
the extent to which a student will participate in general education classes. Section VI
- At this point, the type and extent of programs and services are determined. Section VII
– Accommodations, supports, assessment, reporting, transportation, course of
study, and prevocational/vocational needs are specified; transition services are
referenced. Section VIII
– The IEPT recommendation is indicated. Section IX
– The IEPT document is signed by both a District representative and parents,
guardians, surrogate or student. Supporting reports are attached along with
dissenting opinions, if any. |
